ADAM ARNOLD

Adam Arnold is a patent attorney with the law firm of Pitts & Lake, P.C., and practices primarily in the areas of patent and trademark procurement as well as intellectual property (IP) transactional matters.  Mr. Arnold is a former Patent Examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in the Computer Graphics Art Unit.  Mr. Arnold received a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of South Florida, a Master’s Degree in Software Engineering from Monmouth University, and a Juris Doctorate from the Florida State University College of Law.  Mr. Arnold is currently admitted to practice before the Florida Bar and the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office.

Prior to joining Pitts & Lake, P.C., in addition to examining patent applications at the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, Mr. Arnold worked for ten years as Corporate Intellectual Property Counsel for United Technologies Corporation in Hartford CT and as Patent Counsel for Michelin North America in Greenville, SC.  He has prosecuted and examined patents and provided IP legal opinions in a multitude of technical fields including computer processors, graphical user interfaces, software business methods, computer network systems, display systems, data storage systems, piezoelectric sensors and transducers, cybersecurity, RF devices, and telecommunications.  Prior to practicing IP Law, Mr. Arnold worked for over ten years as a Software Engineer in the fields of database design and management, Unix programming, network security, and command/control software systems.
